Welcome CPS Teachers!
Below are links to pre-recorded music and movement lessons to view for inspiration. These videos were created for infant through kindergarten-age children to view at home and were sent to our partner schools over the last several weeks.

Long vs Short
Lesson #3
Join Miss Lisa as she explores long VS short. Children are encouraged to sing long&short sounds, move around with long and short body movements, engage with different long and short materials to develop their creativity and play with Lucky the cat!
Voice Types
Lesson #4
Join Ms. Emily as we explore different voice types (singing, speaking, whisper, shouting). We’ll speak a poem about some of our favorite veggies and fruits, explore ways to play with a scarf, shake the beat while we dance with our egg shakers, read a book about trains and sing a soft lullaby while we rock our stuffed animals to sleep. For class today, students will need a scarf (can use a dish towel, tissue, blanket), an egg shaker (can use a salt shaker, rattle), and a stuffed animal.
Fast vs Slow
Lesson #2
Join Ms. Emily as we explore fast and slow movements and sounds. Speak a silly poem as slow and as fast as you can. Get shaking with our egg shakers. Play a fun game of red light, green light. Practice some rhyming words as we read one of our favorite books. Listen to the wind as we sing a soft lullaby together.
High vs Low
Lesson #3
Join Ms. Haley as we explore high and low sounds and movements. Recite a poem about our favorite fruits and veggies. Play around with high and low movements with Miss Mary Mack. Explore different levels of wind with our giant scarf. Read about our favorite llama then play a movement activity where we become the llama. Then, end singing about our appreciation for the earth while listening to and reenacting the rain falling from the sky.
